Phinda Lioness...Hungry No More

Phinda Lioness...A BIG Girl!

Phinda Lion Cub
Phinda has very successful lion prides they are referred to as the North Pride and the South Pride. The females in both prides are just huge and are very very skillfull hunters. The two above lionesses are from the North Pride, beautiful girls! The little boy in the tree is from the South Pride, and just about sunset he and his 2 sisters decided to frolic and play and climb trees while their mom and olders sisters were trying to ambush zebras at a small water hole. These same lionesses, earlier in the day in a matter of 2 hours, killed 3 nyala and 1 wart hog. They had so much to eat they just left much of it and rested and then decided to start again rather than eat what they had already killed!

This morning we sat by the Marsh Pride while they all started to awaken only to start their day of even more sleeping! This lovely girl seemed to pose and stretch just for me then walked 10 feet and plopped right back down.
